Humanistic integrative counselling for adults. One to one or couples..
Everyone experiences life differently. Whatever brings you to counselling, whatever you want to explore or want help with; whether it be anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, grief, low self-esteem or trauma, I believe counselling can help navigate life's challenges. Counselling provides an opportunity to speak in confidence, exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others.

About me and my practice
As a humanistic, integrative counsellor, I work in a predominately person-centred way. You'll be at the centre of the work and, by establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship, we can encourage the process of growth. Counselling will allow you to see yourself with greater depth, unpick stuck narratives and gain new perspectives on what has been going on. Deciding to try counselling can seem daunting. I normally suggest a 15 minute chat to help you decide if you'd like to go ahead. During the call we can discuss what you'd like to bring to counselling and what you can expect from our sessions together. If you decide to proceed, our first counselling session will give you the opportunity to explore your reasons for coming to counselling in more depth. We'll take it from there at your pace. I work with adults one to one and with couples. Sessions last up to an hour. The number of sessions varies by individual and your progress will be reviewed regularly.

Additional Information
Couples Counselling:
The aim of couples counselling is to help you to develop and improve your relationship or facilitate a respectful separation.
Recurring issues, communication, trust and emotional connection may be some of the reasons why you're considering couples counselling. By offering a safe, non-judgemental impartial space we can explore these issues together.
Couples sessions follow a different format. They start with a session together, followed by one individual session each and then back to couple sessions. Longer sessions may be suggested.
Couples counselling requires setting time aside for each other and investing effort in your relationship. You may be provided with exercises to undertake between sessions.
